Delicious Breakfast!

The breakfast buffet at Grand Mercure Recife was absolutely fantastic! There was an extensive selection of dishes to choose from, and I especially enjoyed the tapiocas made by Carlos. It made each morning a good culinary experience.

Spacious & Comfortable Rooms

I stayed in an upgraded superior ocean front room, and it was luxurious! The layout included a separate area with its own TV and window, which made my stay even more enjoyable. The room was equipped with AC and had a stunning view!

Great TV Setup!

My stay had its ups and downs. The hotel is situated in a prime location by the beach, making it convenient for exploring the area. The staff were genuinely helpful and solved issues quickly, which was greatly appreciated. However, the rooms I encountered had maintenance issues and weren't well-maintained, which detracted from the overall experience.

The location is truly outstanding, just across from the beach and surrounded by restaurants, but the hotel itself felt more like a 3-star than the advertised 4-star. The rooms were spacious but in dire need of updates, and while the staff was friendly, the service could be quite sluggish. Breakfast was fantastic though, which was a highlight of my visit.

Additionally, some areas of the hotel show signs of wear and tear that don’t quite reflect the price point.
